Kater Leatherman has been teaching yoga since 2000. Using her own, unique style, her focus is on deep stretching and breathing to help students relax and manage the fluctuations of the mind while weaving spiritual commentary throughout the practice.
Kater believes yoga is metaphor for life and that every pose is a mirror reflecting something back that you can change, modify or learn from. “In yoga poses,” she says, “you are interfacing with yourself and creating situations that can bring discomfort. But what you are learning is how to avoid reacting in order to better handle the challenges in your life off the mat.”
