This class provides a deep sinking stretch to the connective tissue dramatically improving joint function. It also relaxes all of the muscles while stretching the ligaments, tendons and fascia.
In Yin yoga, we “sink in” to poses, which are primarily done on the floor, for 3-5 minutes. This sinking may also affect your meridians, inviting you to sink in to your subtle self as well.
Yin yoga can be intense. Combining it with Reiki (an ancient Japanese method of healing) is nurturing and can be restorative on many levels.
As students release into the therapeutic benefits of their yin practice, Ally (Reiki Master), will coax them deeper into a state of peace and relaxation by sharing Reiki energy.
This introspective practice will allow students to be present with emotions and experience how and where they manifest in the body. Through rest and relaxation we also work closely with the nervous system.
